Experienced professionals will share their experiences through session on The Joy of Private Practice” and “Financing Your Dream,” with curriculum targeted to third- and fourth-year Au.D. students.
Mentoring Opportunities Still Available The ADA Convention is a great opportunity for you to connect with third- or fourth-year Au.D. students who have an interest in private practice! Students are selected for convention scholarships, which are funded by the Audiology Foundation of America (AFA), based on the students' application information and an essay illustrating their interest in practicing audiology. There are almost 30 students attending ADA this year, so more mentors are needed! We are especially looking for mentors who practice in the Northeast U.S., the Carolinas, Texas, or Minnesota, or who have a specialty interest in pediatrics, cochlear implants or private practice.
Please respond to ADA headquarters or at 866-493-5544 for more information and to sign up to be a 2009 mentor.
And the #1 Reason to Attend the ADA 2009 Convention:
1. The Opportunity To Help Shape the Future of ADA and the Profession of Audiology
Your participation, engagement, input and feedback will help shape the future of your profession! Don't miss your chance to complete an anonymous electronic survey (multiple kiosks will be available) during the convention. Data from this survey will be used to gain insight and identify trends within the profession using data from ADA members and constituents in several key areas. Summary data from this very important survey will be released later this year to ADA members. Individual survey data is completely anonymous.
Don't Miss the Boat on Important Convention Opportunities: Make a SPLASH, October 29-31 in Clearwater Beach, FL!
ADA's 2009 Convention is drenched with great course offerings and meaningful networking opportunities, geared for audiologists interested in ownership of the audiology profession.
