  • Participants will be able to list the legislative and regulatory actions that have been taken with regard to OTC hearing aids, the actions that are expected in the next 12-24 months, and describe how those changes will impact private audiology practices.
  • Participants will be able to describe ways to partner with OTC manufacturers to benefit patients and their practices
  • Participants will be able to describe new business models in which OTC amplification products can be used in an audiology practice

The Legislative and Regulatory Environment
During part one of the course, we will describe the various actions taken by and expected from legislative and regulatory bodies regarding OTC hearing aids. We will also explore potential impact on state requirements for the dispensing of amplification products in private practice.
