Procuring a Partnership Position in Private Practice



This informative session features an interactive presentation by Drs. Eric Hagberg and Audra Brooks. Dr. Hagberg will share the rationale and criteria that he used in recruiting Dr. Brooks and provide recommendations for students seeking an ownership position in a private practice. Dr. Brooks will share her approach to getting hired and moving into an ownership position within the practice. The session will feature an interactive Q&A segment at the end of the presentation. After attending this session, students will have tangible tips that they can use to prepare for achieving an ownership position in a private practice.

About Dr. Hagberg and Dr. Brooks
Dr. Hagberg received his Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, a division of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is Board Certified in Audiology and a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Hagberg currently serves as the president of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. He is a preceptor for students of the Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium, the Doctor of Audiology program of Kent State, University of Akron, and the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Hagberg co-authored the first hearing aid prescription fitting method and has multiple publications in respected Audiology journals.

Dr. Brooks joined Hearing Innovations in 2010. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Brooks received specialized audiology training at the Cleveland Clinic, Akron Children's Hospital, Cleveland Hearing and Balance Center and the Perry Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic. Dr. Brooks has a special interest in the use of digital technology to treat difficult-to-fit hearing losses. Dr. Brooks is a preceptor for students of the Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium, the Doctor of Audiology program of Kent State, University of Akron, and the Cleveland Clinic. She brings the latest innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing and dizziness disorders for adult and pediatric patients.
