Many audiology leaders feel like they are repeating themselves constantly. The same expectations are explained again. The same issues come up in meetings. Leaders step in to fix problems that should already be owned by the team. These situations are often interpreted as motivation problems. In reality, they are usually accountability system problems.

This session introduces a practical accountability framework to help leaders create clarity, consistency, and shared responsibility within their teams. Participants will learn how accountability breaks down, how to reset expectations effectively, and how to build simple follow-up systems that support performance without micromanaging.

Through real-world examples and guided discussion, attendees will leave with practical tools including an accountability conversation framework, an expectation clarity checklist, and a simple follow-up system they can implement immediately within their practices.

Attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify common leadership behaviors and communication patterns that weaken accountability within audiology teams.
  2. Apply a novel Accountability Framework to create clearer expectations and stronger follow-through for their audiology team.
  3. Implement simple follow-up systems that strengthen accountability and reduce the need to repeatedly intervene with their audiology team.
